How It Works
Understanding ElastoType's AI-powered language assistance
AI-Powered Features: ElastoType uses advanced AI technology to provide intelligent spell checking and romanization conversion across all your applications.
Overview
ElastoType is a macOS application that provides AI-powered spell checking for English and Korean, plus intelligent romanization-to-Hangul conversion. It works at the system level, meaning it operates across all your applications without requiring individual app integrations.
Using advanced AI models, ElastoType provides context-aware corrections, understands natural language patterns, and offers highly accurate suggestions for both languages.
Security & Privacy
Secure Input Detection
When you type in password fields or secure applications, macOS enables "Secure Input Mode." Elastotype automatically detects this and:
- Stops monitoring keystrokes completely
- Does not process or buffer any text
- Resumes normal operation when you leave the secure field
Privacy & Data Handling
ElastoType prioritizes your privacy:
- Encrypted Processing: Text is sent to our AI service with encryption for spell checking
- No Permanent Storage: Processed text is not stored permanently or logged
- No Personal Data Collection: We do not require or store personal information (names, emails, IPs)
- No Analytics Tracking: We do not track usage patterns or which applications you use
Performance & Reliability
ElastoType is designed for seamless operation:
- Real-time corrections: Near-instant suggestions as you type
